BEVAR 1000FRYD! (ENGLISH BELOW)

SAVE 1000FRYD!

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

There is a signature campaign here - https://www.skrivunder.net/bevar_1000fryd

The Binnacle List (dk)

Første runde af 1000Fryds ud-af-huset-shows hen over sommeren!

Musikken starter kl.21.30. Dont miss it!

-----------------

Side Effect is the most energetic and invigorating indie band from Burma/Myanmar. Against a great deal of political and economic challenges, Side Effect has been rocking, irrepressibly, since 2004. The band has cultivated an indie sound that combines their poetic Burmese lyrics with their musical roots in punk, and mixes them with elements of garage rock, power pop, and back-to- the-basics rock’n’roll, in a manner similar to bands like The Strokes and The Libertines.

The band’s music draws inspiration from everyday life in Yangon and the current political shifts in Myanmar. The recent demolishing of music censorship has given them the ability to become more socio-political. The band’s songs embody the passionate resilience of youth in Myanmar; Tser Htoo, the band’s self-taught drummer, practiced by hitting on piles of books until the day he could go to the studio to play a real drum set - the band still can’t afford one.

While Myanmar has only recently opened up its doors after being closed for 50 years, Side Effect are ready to take on the world...

Pixer? Weezies? Not exactly the best names for a band, and luckily they didn't come up when The Binnacle List was to pick a fitting name. Still, it's no secret that both the minimalistic and crooked rocksongs of the Pixies are as big an inspiration, as the straight forward and naive pop songs of early Weezer are. The current line-up of TBL took their first steps as a band in the spring of 2011. Soon hereafter, they recorded their selftitled debut EP, released the next year, which brought the band a 4-star review in danish music magazine Gaffa.

Since then, TBL hasn't slowed down for one minute, and with their new EP ”...til beaten chins” out, the fourpiece believe that they fill out a spot on the Copenhagen music scene, that has been empty for way too long.
