The most important punk band of recent years are finally coming to 1000Fryd after years of trying!!
War On Women is a feminist hardcore-punk band from Baltimore, Maryland, formed in 2010. The political, feminist themes in their music include abortion rights, rape and misogyny.
Released on Bridge9 Records and they toured with the likes of Propagandhi, Converge, Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio, Cave In among others.
NEXØ is a highly energetic punk band from Copenhagen, Denmark.
When NEXØ play live a sense of sheer urgency engulfs the crowd – something is at stake. Balancing on the edge of the stage, close to exploding, they bare their souls while keeping their footing, creating an experience that keeps resonating under the skin. The music has a clear and strong message delivered with frantic joy and teeth-clenching presence. It’s a goddamn cliché, but a show with NEXØ is blood, sweat and tears blasted through an amplifier.
NEXØ has taken advantage of the lockdown to write a new record challenging their own limits. The music of False Flag is heavier than their debut record – heavy like the times – but still with a keen sense of melody amid the noise. The raw punk is complimented by sonic experiments and psychedelic elements, testament of a band that refuses to stand still.
Tukatukas is a Punk Hardcore band from Reunion island. Yes, the Reunion Island. Just next to Madagaskar. A bit punk. A bit sazomophone. A but party. Fuck yes!!!
SYL er et gennemborende liveband opstået i en tid uden livemusik. Det københavnske Post-Hardcore band blander det bedste fra punkens verden med indflydelser fra blandt andet Noise Rock og Hardcore.
Bandet opstod da de 2 venner Andreas (trommer) og Benjamin (vokal) vågnede efter en alvorlig brandert brygget på norsk punk og finsk pebermyntelikør og måtte konstatere at de begge havde ordet SYL tatoveret stort henover brystet. Detaljerne om hvorfor det lige præcist var ordet SYL der skulle foreviges i blæk står fortsat hen i tågerne, men til gengæld havde de nu navnet på det band de endnu ikke vidste skulle eksistere.
Tekstuniverset berører alt fra ungdommens ængstelighed til maskulinitet og skrøbelighed imens Benjamin Clemens aggressive vokal trækker en melodisk tråd igennem det støjende bagtæppe.
