In a crumbling, labyrinthine port city suspended between sea and sky, a dark and surreal tale unfolds. As the city’s orphans vanish one by one, a simple-minded strongman and a cunning young girl form an unlikely partnership to uncover the truth behind the disappearances. Together, they navigate a grotesque world of eccentrics, mechanical inventions, and faded carnival wonders.
