🎞️ About the Movie:
A documentary about a performance artist living with cystic fibrosis, a progressive and terminal illness, who incorporates his condition, pain, and body into his artistic practice. The film follows how he merges everyday life with performance art, using writing, staged actions, and extreme physical endurance to explore and confront suffering rather than simply endure it. It presents his work as inseparable from his lived experience, showing how illness, pain, and creativity become intertwined in a sustained artistic approach to control, vulnerability, and the limits of the body.
Content warning: The film contains graphic medical imagery, bodily fluids, and explicit physical performance acts that some viewers may find disturbing.
Directed by: Kirby Dick
