Aalborgs legendariske aktivitetshus og spillested, 1000Fryd, er lukningstruet og har brug for din hjælp! Som følge af en naboklage skal huset gennemgå en massiv renovering, der løber op i flere millioner, og de penge har 1000Fryd ikke.

Stedet har de sidste 40 år haft uvurderlig betydning for Aalborg som by og for alverdens musikalske undergrundsscener både nationalt og internationalt. Det hele er båret oppe af de hundredvis af frivillige ildsjæle, der igennem årene har engageret sig i og udviklet sig med stedet.

1000Fryd er vigtigere end nogensinde og vil gøre alt for at overleve, men vi har brug for din støtte.

Vi modtager ethvert bidrag med kyshånd og er evigt taknemmelige for jeres hjælp.

Aalborg's legendary activity house and venue, 1000Fryd, is in danger of closing and needs your help! As a result of a neighbor's complaint, the house must undergo a massive renovation that costs several million, and 1000Fryd does not have that money.

For the past 40 years, the place has been of inestimable importance for Aalborg as a city and for many different underground music scenes, both nationally and internationally. All made possible by the hundreds of passionate volunteers who over the years have engaged in and developed with the place.

1000Fryd is more important than ever and will do everything to survive, but we need your support.

We welcome any contribution and are eternally grateful for your help.

Statistics fra det amerikanske placerer sig musikalsk med r�dder i indierock og med referencer til emo-sad-pop. Er udgivet p� Jade Tree Records, hvilket garanterer b�de for kvaliteten og de klare indie-referencer. Statistics er det nye hovedprojekt for den tidligere ophavsmand til Desaparecidos Denver Dalley. Med det nyeste album fra i �r kan Statistics musikalsk placeres i samme b�se som Pedro The Lion, Bright Eyes, Flaming Lips og Death Cab for Cutie og ikke mindst Engine Down... S� har vi vist ogs� taget munden fuld og n�vnt navne nok... indierock for fuld skrue. En indierock kampmaskine. oh yeah..

Front De Boeuf fra det svenske er en sideprojekt fra en enkelt herre fra Meine Kleine Deutsche. En anelse mere rockende end Statistics, men med et klart melodi�st drive og en snert gardin rock.

Og lokale Bought Landings spiller op til start med indierock af bedste skuffe og lader intet tilbage overfor de udenlandske herrer. Bedre kan n�sten ikke blive...

Denver Dalley hails from the bountiful DIY scene of Omaha, NE. You may not know his name, but you most certainly know his band, Desaparecidos, whose 2002 debut on Saddle Creek, Read Music/Speak Spanish was lauded by the kids and critics alike. Now, armed with an EP, Denver steps out of the shadows of the Omaha pop cult, and gives us Statistics, which establishes him in the current lexicon of independent rock as every bit worthy of praise and attention as his hometown compatriots The Faint and Bright Eyes.

How did this all come about? �Desa was my first real band, first real record and tour.� Denver explains �Being as it was a collective, it was difficult to push it as far as I wanted. I love touring and writing and recording, so Statistics came out of the desire to do that.� Much of the debut EP is Denver�s handiwork exclusively, with three drum tracks being provided by Mike Sweeney, who also plays in Bright Eyes. Fans of Desaparecidos will not be disappointed, as Denver�s dynamic guitar play and big-rock riffage is still present, but perhaps a bit more peripheral. At the heart of Statistics is a lush electronic-pop center. Deep synth beds haloed in reverb and percolating glitch beats, twinkling press-play strings and hooky, in-the-pocket drumming � topped by Denver�s rich but understated vocals and the occasional guitar solo � references bedroom laptop icons Dntel as much as it does New Order or Laughing Stock-era Talk Talk � re-contextualizing new wave elements without engaging tired nostalgia or deploying wink-wink-nudge-nudge romanticized references to the sounds of Denver�s Reagan-era childhood. Denver lays the brickwork for a promising future for Statistics, and lays claim to a sound that is very much his own.
