Aalborgs legendariske aktivitetshus og spillested, 1000Fryd, er lukningstruet og har brug for din hjælp! Som følge af en naboklage skal huset gennemgå en massiv renovering, der løber op i flere millioner, og de penge har 1000Fryd ikke.

Stedet har de sidste 40 år haft uvurderlig betydning for Aalborg som by og for alverdens musikalske undergrundsscener både nationalt og internationalt. Det hele er båret oppe af de hundredvis af frivillige ildsjæle, der igennem årene har engageret sig i og udviklet sig med stedet.

1000Fryd er vigtigere end nogensinde og vil gøre alt for at overleve, men vi har brug for din støtte.

Vi modtager ethvert bidrag med kyshånd og er evigt taknemmelige for jeres hjælp.

Aalborg's legendary activity house and venue, 1000Fryd, is in danger of closing and needs your help! As a result of a neighbor's complaint, the house must undergo a massive renovation that costs several million, and 1000Fryd does not have that money.

For the past 40 years, the place has been of inestimable importance for Aalborg as a city and for many different underground music scenes, both nationally and internationally. All made possible by the hundreds of passionate volunteers who over the years have engaged in and developed with the place.

1000Fryd is more important than ever and will do everything to survive, but we need your support.

We welcome any contribution and are eternally grateful for your help.

City of Ships er for folk, som ogs godt kan lide Neurosis, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Melvins, Godspeed You! Black Emperor og Big Black!.. City of Ships er en dynamisk trio, som spiller progressiv metalisk postrock, s ikke et je er trt! Bandet stammer oprindelig fra Floriida i usa og har vret omkring siden 2005. Er udgivet p Translation Loss Records.

Rising er fra Kbenhavn og er heller ikke s drligt! Rising spiller sludge-inspireret metal, men med masser af krlighed til 70′ernes klassikere, svel psychrock som metal. Rising har en selvudgivet fire-spors ep ude og en nominering til Danish Metal Awards er det allerede blevet til. Og marts bd p en Europa-tour med sjlevennerne i rhusianske Double Space!

Den aalborgensiske trio Aedra, spiller metal med rdder i bde eksperimenterende posthardcore og skve taktarter. Musikken er instrumental og stemningsfuld. AEDRA indspillede i 2008 EP'en Somatopagnosia med producer Anders Ruby (Lis er Stille, Diamond Drive, FiveDollarKillbotWhore m.m.) og artwork lavet af Anders Davidsen (Crocell m.m.).

CITY OF SHIPS:

... is a dominating rock trio come to offer something fresh when the world needs it most. Recently relocated to Richmond, VA via Pensacola, FL - they bring a rhythm section locked in and thundering with the force of man's most powerful machines. Despite the crushing weight of their low-end assault, the young band sends the listener flying through otherworldly dimensions with atmospheric, eerily melodic guitar work and vocals that speak directly to the pain and wonder of living in the modern age. Beginning in late 2005 as two brothers collaborating with their best friend, the trio quickly recognized that in order to create something truly unique, the only rule worth following was to throw convention out the window.

RISING:

RISING is a Copenhagen three-piece creating and performing their own brand of heavy, aggressive, atmospheric, yet melodic metal music. Formed in early 2008 by guitarist Jacob Krogholt and drummer Martin Niemann the outfit has taken shape through hours spent with the punishing roar of overdriven tube amps and vulturous drumming along with the addition of vocalist/bass player Henrik Hald in late 2008.

RISING seeks to incorporate all virtues of good music: passion, vibe, energy, atmosphere and yes, firm musicianship and song writing. Stylistically the band incorporates metal, 70s hard, progressive and psychedelic rock, punk, sludge etc. and by doing so creates MUSIC rather than submerging to any stylistic dogma, a certain scene or genre has to offer.

RISING combines the raw and direct with the grand and epic delivering a punch to the gut soaring from the sonically darkest mountain side, while swirling in a lyrical core of unbelievable beasts and unlit places that should not have been disturbed.

RISINGs first EP was recorded live in the studio with producers Jacob Reichert Nielsen and Per Chneldh (Lack - Saturate Every Atom) in March/April 2009 and was mastered by Alan Douches (Mastodon, Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan a.o.). The EP features 4 tracks of raw, vibrant, organic metal music the way aggressive music should be.

Aedra:

AEDRA is a band who constantly crawls off the beaten path with every release. No End / Open End opens a new chapter in the tales from the band and features harsh vocals, heavier grooves, better production, and even new incorporations of genres. The EP is released by the bands own record label Thrown Me Off Balance recordings and are free to distribute and download from August 28th 2009. For the fans and querious souls out there in the world a limited amount of CD pressings are to be sold as soon as possible.
