Aalborgs legendariske aktivitetshus og spillested, 1000Fryd, er lukningstruet og har brug for din hjælp! Som følge af en naboklage skal huset gennemgå en massiv renovering, der løber op i flere millioner, og de penge har 1000Fryd ikke.
Stedet har de sidste 40 år haft uvurderlig betydning for Aalborg som by og for alverdens musikalske undergrundsscener både nationalt og internationalt. Det hele er båret oppe af de hundredvis af frivillige ildsjæle, der igennem årene har engageret sig i og udviklet sig med stedet.
1000Fryd er vigtigere end nogensinde og vil gøre alt for at overleve, men vi har brug for din støtte.

Aalborg's legendary activity house and venue, 1000Fryd, is in danger of closing and needs your help! As a result of a neighbor's complaint, the house must undergo a massive renovation that costs several million, and 1000Fryd does not have that money.
For the past 40 years, the place has been of inestimable importance for Aalborg as a city and for many different underground music scenes, both nationally and internationally. All made possible by the hundreds of passionate volunteers who over the years have engaged in and developed with the place.
1000Fryd is more important than ever and will do everything to survive, but we need your support.

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.
Den str p singer/songwriter eller indie-folk eller hvad man nu ellers har lyst til at kalde det, nr to kvinder og mand, hver for sig, gr p scenen med deres guitarer og spiller gode sange.
Tanya Davis fra Canada er en poet med en guitar, en storyteller, musiker og singer-songwriter. Med sin unikke kombination af disse egenskaber med hun tryllebinde os med.. "a refreshing matrimony of language and sound, side-stepping genre and captivating audiences in the process". Vi kan kun sige, at vi glder os!
Gem Andrews er fra Liverpool og indtager Fryds scene scenen bevbnet kun med sin guitar og catchy sange. Med sine egne ord, s synger hun.. "heart-achingly beautiful dark country ballads, filled with intoxicating romanticism and wrapped in haunting melodies." Det skal nok blive godt!
Bg er efterhnden ved at vre gammel i grde p den Aalborgensiske musikscene siden. Han var med i bandet Bought Landings way back, da Aalborg husede et stort indie-slng, der blandt andet svrgede til Modest Mouse og Pavement. Disse inspirationskilder anes stadig, men nu str herren alene p scenen med sin guitat og smukke, irefaldende sange.

Bio Gem Andrews:
Born in Liverpool England, singer-songwriter Gem Andrews sings heart-achingly beautiful dark country ballads, filled with intoxicating romanticism and wrapped in haunting melodies.Her own self-released debut album is due in March 2012.
In 2010 Gem played at the Americana Festival at the Sage Gateshead in July, and played a set on Amber Film's 'Secret Garden' sessions alongside Roseanne Cash, Howe Gelb & His Band of Gypsies, Kristen Hersch, The Handsome Family, Martin Stephenson and many others. Gem has also played support for Raul Malo, Beccy Owen, Kathryn Williams, The Cave Singers, Crooked Still, Laura Viers, Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart. Following the release of the record, Gem is set to tour the UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Germany this year.
Bio Tanya Davis: Tanya Davis is a poet. She is a storyteller. She is a musician and a singer-songwriter and she fuses these elements together in a refreshing matrimony of language and sound, side-stepping genre and captivating audiences in the process.
