We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.
Sheer Mag is nothing less than hard rock-inspired power pop perfection. Think Fleetwood Mac meets Thin Lizzy and teams up with Suzi Quatro for a rampage!
In recent years it's been Milk Music, Merchandise, King Tuff, and Total Control. Right now, its Sheer Mag. Every once in a while, a band emerges from the DIY punk scene with perfectly executed pop songs. Between the band's current EP and their forthcoming effort on Katorga Works, have no doubts, Sheer Mag's overly catchy Thin Lizzy / Suzi Quatro / Fleetwood Mac burners will provide the soundtrack for cool kid summer 2015.
Sheer Mag might reference 1970s classic rock every time they holler and shred, but their gnarled, whiskey-fueled pop-in-miniature is of a singular breed: There aren't many contemporary bands you could imagine unironically covering "Sweet Home Alabama" while some bloody-lipped fan stage-dives. Such is the essence of Sheer Mag's raw power.
Snake is heavily distorted guitar. Trashy drums. Filthy ol synthesizer.
In the beginning of 2014 some noisy shit started to go down in a nuked out cave in Sdermalm, Stockholm. And it went fast.
Three old friends found each other in a new constellation. New melodies, new beats and new noise. The new band turned out to be SnakE.
A venomous act with its roots in the most anti-digital garagepunk underground there is. Dark without being to emoish. Raw and hard without turning into a full on hardcore punk assault.
Snake just released their first 7 vinyl at Sounds Of Subterrania in june 2015. Snake consist Mia on vocals and guitar, Frankki on synth and Trner on drums.
