❤️1000Fryd

Aalborg's legendary activity house and venue, 1000Fryd, is in danger of closing and needs your help! As a result of a neighbor's complaint, the house must undergo a massive renovation that costs several million, and 1000Fryd does not have that money.

For the past 40 years, the place has been of inestimable importance for Aalborg as a city and for many different underground music scenes, both nationally and internationally. All made possible by the hundreds of passionate volunteers who over the years have engaged in and developed with the place.

1000Fryd is more important than ever and will do everything to survive, but we need your support.

We welcome any contribution and are eternally grateful for your help.

If you want to donate directly to us, it can also be done via a contribution to our bank account on 1551-4930179574. Remember to write who the sender is.

Everyone who donates, regardless of the size of the amount, will get its name our big thank you list in the gate.

KYLESA AT 1000FRYD!! A DREAM COME TRUE!
Legends... Reuniting!

KYLESA

Kylesa is a force of nature, a band whose sonic range and primal heaviness stunned and awed listeners for 15 years before they went dark in 2015. Led by the guitar/vocal duo of Laura Pleasants and Phillip Cope, Kylesa cemented their place as key figures in the Georgia metal scene by bringing forth a unique, unmatched, experimental wall of sound that is as relevant today as it was at the time. Kylesa are picking up where they left off, playing a limited amount of special engagements starting in 2025.

MONKEY OKAY

Monkey is an experimental and atmospheric rock band from Aalborg - formed in 2015 and with two albums in their catalogue, the band has continuously attempted to expand the boundaries of their own musical expression and want to exist adjacent to, or in between, different genres. The band writes songs that are challenging and which give them room to move where they want musically. The band's second album, The Long Haul of Cercopithecoidea, was released in December 2020 og marked a significant change of style for the band, that saw them move in a much more progressive and complex direction. The release of said album also let the album begin their working relationship with the artist Peter Max-Jakobsen, who created the artwork for the record - and in the wake of this collaboration they have continued to work together, creating live shows where Peter Max-Jakobsen creates painting simultaneously with the band's performance and then these works are projected on to the stage.

BOGWIFE

Formed in 2018, in Aalborg, Denmark, Bogwife blends stoner rock, blues and metal to create their sound. The band takes its name from an old Scandinavian folktale about a mythical creature that lives in bogs and creates a thick mist. Their debut, Halls of Rebirth, came out in 2020, and was well received, placing 2nd in the Doom Charts for July 2020. Since then, Bogwife released A Passage Divine in 2021 which also placed 2nd in the Doom Charts in September that year. Bogwife is set to record their 3rd album in the spring 2025 where the focus has shifted towards a more fast pace and bluesy vibe.
