Gun Outfit er endnu et skud på stammen af talrige talentfulde bands fra Olympia, Washington i USA, hvor andra bands kan nævnes som Sex Vid, White Boss, Sisters og Milk Music.
Gun Outfit spiller skævt rockende guitardrevet musik med punkede undertoner og mixed kvindelige og mandlig vokal. Som det uægte barn af en enkelts nats møde mellem Pixies, Dinosaur JR og Wipers!
Kan sættes i samme bås, som dejlige danske bands som Cola Freaks, De Høje Hæle og Min og Min Ven.
Singvogel har de seneste år touren den fra skumle klubber i Berlin, scener i Paris’ over- og undergrundsmiljø, fine omgivelser på Bornholms Kunstmuseum til jobbet som kabaretorkester, filmorkester og selvfølgelig til de ”almindelige danske spillesteder”, hvor den har stået på masser af fuzzguitar, prustende blæsere, svampede beats og heftigt kværnende riffs i en omgang forvokset børnerock og forstadstråd.
Singvogel er 2/5 af det hedengangne skrammel-spillemands-støj-punk-orkester Vildensky. 1 stk. medstifter af Klüvers Bigband, 1 stk. forhenværende gademusikant. Singvogel er af & til raslende backing for og rockorkester med Brabrandpoeten Peter Laugesen.
Dust Bugs er importeret direkte fra 1000Fryds mørkeste afkrog af et øvelokale og er ikke bange for at give sig af med en omgang skramlet garage rock, som det perfekte afsæt for en aften af den anden verden.

GUN OUTFIT can be counted among the loosely affiliated group of Olympia-based bands that also includes SEX VID, WHITE BOSS, SISTERS, MILK MUSIC, etc. They've previously released a demo cassette and a decent 7" EP but Dim Light is the best thing they've done by far. The eight diverse yet cohesive tracks here employ loose guitar work over tight and propulsive drumming, and the instruments and vocals (male and female, the former with a distinctive monotone almost spoken delivery) play off one another in a lazy, seemingly jumbled way that is organic and beautiful. I hear traces of early Portland punk rock like the WIPERS, NEO BOYS and the RATS, mid-80s SST groups like the MEAT PUPPETS or DINOSAUR JR.; even 80s and 90s indie bands like the PIXIES - but to what degree GUN OUTFIT is actually influenced by any of the aforementioned is unclear, as they do not appear to be attempting to mimic a particular band or style. Good lyrics and artwork, plus the inclusion of two bona-fide classic tunes ("Troubles Like Mine" & "Control"), make this one of the best releases of the year.
Possession Sound is Gun Outfit’s second LP, recorded at High Command in Olympia,Wa by Captain Trips Ballsington. The clean sounds and raw sounds on this record are a fantasy. The mental frontier of rock music, fifty years later. Influenced by The Byrds, Horses and Susan Sontag, Gun Outfit slam through and enter the sophomore years of recording and making music as a band. Honing their craft, Possession Sound is sometimes a more mellow listen than their previous efforts, and sometimes more raw in it’s delivery entirely. A very exciting progression from a real band in every way.
Singvogel are suburban rock..n..roll inspired by punkrock..n..roll, psych and cabaret music. Singvogel use lots of fuzzguitar, horns, driving riffs and rhythms, swampy beats, word and words, and all agree on this description from www.geiger.dk, stating that Singvogel and vocalist Hansns feigned voice .....took the audience to a strange shadow land, somewhere between the suburbs and the most sinister B-movie horror..
