Vi har fået påbud fra kommunen om, at vi ikke længere må spille højt til koncerter - i praksis vil vi ikke længere kunne spille livemusik, hvilket er grundlaget for vores driftstøtte og eksistens.

Nabobygningen er opført med utilstrækkelig lydisolering, og under byggeriet advarede vi om, at det kunne føre til problemer, og det er nu gået i opfyldelse.

SAVE 1000FRYD!

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

Throughout the past 40 years, many people have had personal and shared experiences at 1000fryd!

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Aidan Baker er den ene halvdel af den experimentale drone duo Nadja, som flere gange har gæstet 1000Fryd blandt andet sammen med Thrones og Picastro. Denne gang er Aidan Baker tilbage solo, men det bliver det ikke ringere af!

Aidan Baker skåner ingen med sit en-mands angreb bestående af lige dele experimental/drone og ambient post-rock. Det skal nok blive godt!

Aidan Baker is a classically trained multi-instrumentalist. His primary instrument is the electric guitar with which he creates music ranging from experimental/drone to ambient post-rock to contemporary classical both under his own name and with such ensembles as Nadja, Infinite Light Ltd., and Whisper Room. He has toured around the world and released numerous albums on such labels as Alien8 Recordings, Die Stadt Musik, Important Records, and Beta-Lactam Ring Records. Originally from Toronto, Canada, he currently resides in Berlin, Germany.

Baker will be touring in support of "Already Drowning," coming out February 2013 on Gizeh Records.

?A-Sun Amissa is a new project formed out of Leeds, UK by members of Glissando. Richard Knox (Glissando, The Rustle of the Stars, Of Thread & Mist) & Angela Chan (Glissando, The Rustle of the Stars, Ten, Tomorrow We Sail) began forming the initial ideas in the Autumn of 2011, moving away from the piano-led ambience of previous outputs.

The trio produce a dense, drone-like atmosphere accompanying evocative, melodic string sections and intertwining guitars. The live show features sections of the recorded output combined with improvisation to unlock new movements and progressions in the music. The subtle, considered textures and the hypnotic interaction between players and instruments provide an intense live performance.
