Vi har fået påbud fra kommunen om, at vi ikke længere må spille højt til koncerter - i praksis vil vi ikke længere kunne spille livemusik, hvilket er grundlaget for vores driftstøtte og eksistens.

Nabobygningen er opført med utilstrækkelig lydisolering, og under byggeriet advarede vi om, at det kunne føre til problemer, og det er nu gået i opfyldelse.

We have received a request from the municipality, stating that we can no longer play loud music at concerts - this means in practice that we can no longer play livemusic, which is the bedrock of our existence.

The neighboring apartments have bad sound isolation, which is something we warned about, when they constructed it.

Throughout the past 40 years, many people have had personal and shared experiences at 1000fryd!

We want to save 1000fryd, because it is full of history and it contributes greatly to the cultural life in Aalborg.

Derek W.Dunn er den tidligere forsanger og guitarist for .357 String Band, og er nu tilbage med sig selv og sin guitar. Vi snakker indflydelse fra både bluegrass, countryblues, Rock´n´roll og folkpunk.

Eller som hans musik beskrives … "a finger-picked ballad precedes a foot-stomping explosion of Blues. With nothing more than an acoustic guitar and a broken tambourine, it's part Woody Guthrie, part Leadbelly, and part Keith Moon."... Bum!

Hele herligheden kan sættes på samme hylde som Slim Cessna's Auto Club, The Avett Brothers, Hank Williams III, Jayke Orvis, Austin Lucas og andre herligheder af samme kaliber.

The Dinosaur Truckers er fra det tyske, men kunne lige så godt være fra de endeløsev vidder i Arizona. Med tydelig indflydelse fra uptempo bluegrass til country, punk, rockabilly og såmænd endda en snert af mariachi kan vi love, at vi bliver efterladt åndeløs tilbage, når de fire herrer går af scenen!

Det kan ikke siges mere præcis end af dem selv…. "Whether they play at blazing speed or temporarily slow it down for a somber ballad, they're not the ones to sing about sweet country sunshine but offer up the pure, uncut, unadulterated form – potent and dangerous and not for the faint of heart."

Og ikke mindst har vi lokale Stöj Snak med på vognen, som er et en-mands folkpunk angreb med kant, indignation og ikke så lidt punk-attitude over sig. Nogen siger et en-mands-Against-Me-angreb og vi er tilbøjelig til at give dem ret!

Derek W. Dunn, former lead singer/guitarist for the late .357 String Band, returns to the stage with a solo & acoustic set. With influences ranging from Gospel to Bluegrass and from Country Blues to Rock and Roll, Dunn's material is far from "singer-songwriter"; rather, he exists in the jack-of-all-trades realm of the traveling folk musician - Black Country originals exist side by side with earnest Hank Williams covers; a finger-picked ballad precedes a foot-stomping explosion of Blues.
